The Senior Community Manager will lead a small team to develop and implement the community engagement programs for our next title. In addition to community activities, the Senior Community Manager will be responsible for creating and distributing content for games through blogs, Twitter, Facebook and other community channels.

This person will also play an important role in coordinating pre-launch alpha and beta testing and will be heavily involved in the feedback loop that helps shape a new product. This position will report to the titles’ Executive Producer and will be sitting directly with the team.  This is not a position where you can work remotely.

  Every day you could be:  

  • Developing community plans in concert with the development team, crafting important communication to and from our valuable community
  • Working with Studio, Project, and Publisher Leadership to integrate community plans into a broader marketing strategy
  • Leading a small team of community specialists to execute the day to day responsibilities of the team
  • Responsible for establishing and fostering an effective feedback loop that combines quantitative and qualitative reports
  • Working in tight coordination with the game development team to stay current on everything going on
  • Monitoring and assessing community sentiment for Cryptic games, pulling from forums and social media
  • Planning, drafting, and distributing community focused content through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and other channels
  • Finding and coordinating interviews, podcasts, live streams, and other community outreach
  • Creating a positive community experience for players

  What we’d like to see:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing the community for a live-ops style game
  • Proven ability to build, mentor and manage teams, assess performance, provide leadership, and creatively solve problems
  • An understanding of effective methods for communicating with our players through a variety of channels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • A problem solver who is able to work autonomously and as part of a larger team
  • Extremely well organized and detail oriented
  • Strong interest in the gaming and entertainment industry; MMORPG experience preferred
  • Passion for the Magic franchise preferred
  • Play experience with the Star Trek Online game and/or Neverwinter game preferred
